In the unlikely case of an emergency, your flight will stop immediately. Our JUMP Crew is specially trained in a variety of emergency scenarios and will be ready to assist you.
VEGA, our artificial intelligence system, will be your companion throughout your JUMP experience. She’ll help you during your flight training and assist you during your flight check. If you need additional assistance, say, “VEGA, help,” and VEGA will notify your JUMP Crew.
We’ve installed automatic activation devices, or AADs, on our JUMP wingsuits that automatically deploy your parachute when you reach a certain altitude. You’ll hear a countdown before it opens. Once open, unzip the sleeves to just above your elbows and grab the parachute toggles near your head. You may pull your parachute cord and float to the landing zone at any time depending on your comfort level.
Your JUMP Helmet has a few different icons and numbers in its heads-up display. You can monitor your altitude with the altimeter; your speed with a speedometer; and your body position with the angle of attack. Your heads-up display, or HUD, will zero out before you jump so everything is accurate during your descent.
Give your Flight Leader a two-second head start and try to follow their flight path on your descent. Your Flight Leader will wait for you at your landing zone.
Step all the way to the edge before you jump to avoid hitting your shins on the JUMP platform. When we say all the way, we mean all the way. Your toes should be just over the edge of the platform.
Once you jump, keep your arms and legs straight like a starfish as your wingsuit fills with air. You’ll fly using your head and turn with your arms. Keep your arms and upper back straight as you descend. To turn, drop one arm and raise the other; you’ll start to fly in the direction of your dropped arm.
JUMP was built to create life-changing moments. As you step onto the ledge and peer down from the platform, you’ll have the opportunity to discover your full potential and find your true self. The most important thing for you to remember during your JUMP is to have fun.
